Our Challenge
Mahesh Foundation established a Charitable Blood Bank called MyBlood Charitable Blood Bank to bridge the gap between donors and needy. Also, equipped with the necessary equipment and machines. But one of the major requirement has been Single Donor Platelets (SDP) Machines which draw blood from the donor and separates the platelets and send it back to the donor. With the availability of Single Donor Platelets (SDP) Machine, we can take the platelets want transfuse back the blood to the donors.
As a solution to this problem, we procured a Single Donor Platelets (SDP) Machine with the support of RITES Limited under CSR initiative. It helps us to collect Platelets directly from a donor by means of a specific machine. This machine draws whole blood in a special reservoir and separates the platelets from the rest of the blood by centrifugation. Along with benefits to the donors, it also enables us in reduction of infectious complications and reduction of transfusion reactions among the patients. Also, ensures less surgical bleeding, trauma and other indications.
