New girls hostel

REC Engineering extended their helping hands and supported the construction of one of the floors of new girl's care home under the CSR initiative.

REC Engineering supported the set up of the dinning which provides a space for 50 children to have a meal at the same time.

Separate Girls Care Home

Our Challenge

The Child Welfare Department has directed all the Child Care Institutions in India to maintain separate premises for boys and girls and this made us build new premises. As the children are orphans and abandoned by their relatives, it will be difficult for them to lead their life. We have decided to build a separate facility for girls beside our existing premises. We had land but the construction of the building requires lakhs of rupees which was beyond the ability of Mahesh Foundation.

REC Engineering, one of the noted industries in Belagavi has approved our proposal to contribute for the school in our existing building and separate girls' care home that we are building now. REC Engineering contributed to the school project as well as sponsored the construction of a floor of our separate girls' care home.

Our Challenge

Mahesh Foundation works for HIV-infected children. These children are infected with HIV/AIDS through their parents by birth. Children are brought into families where the situation is such that either their parents are ill or they are single parents or orphans. Mahesh Foundation started for these HIV-infected and affected children with the principle of reducing the children’s vulnerability to infection, and for protecting children from discrimination. But taking care of these children is a challenging task as they need special care.

REC engineering took the initiative to support the livelihood of these children. Now every year they have been supporting the livelihood of our children. They supported the livelihood of the multiple children for a whole year. This has enabled us to work on the overall development of medically challenged children.

Dinning Facility

Our Challenge

With the mission to provide a dignified life and quality education to HIV infected children and underprivileged children, Mahesh Foundation is working for the last 14 years. During the initial days of our journey, It was tough for us to deal with the challenges like enrolling HIV infected children in the nearby Govt schools because of the objections from society. However, we have succeeded in changing the opinion about HIV infected children in society. And a new challenge was raised when we received a circular for a separate shelter for girl children. Mahesh Foundation proposed REC Engineering Pvt. Ltd. for the support in our school project and separate girls’ care home.

REC Engineering, one of the noted industries in Belagavi has supported the set up of a dining area for the children. This dining provides a space for 50 children to have meal at the same time. All children are comfortably enjoying their meals in the new dinning area.
