New Classroom Construction

Our Challenge

The children belonging to vulnerable communities lack support and facilities in their homes and school. In order to provide them free skill-based education and bring them mainstream of society we have established our Utkarsha Learning Center. Currently, we are running our school up to the 5th standard and intend to extend our school up to the 10th standard. We have limited space to run the school so we have decided to build a new building as an extension of our existing school.

Itron came forward to support us in the construction of a new classroom. Under the CSR initiative, Itron supported Mahesh Foundation for the construction of a new classroom. This expanded classroom will help us to reach more than 500 children and provide them with a quality education.And helps hundreds of poor underprivileged children to pursue higher education.

School Kits Support

Our Challenge

Many children from low-income backgrounds cannot afford school supplies for their children. The cost of school essentials may seem trivial to some, but it can be a significant financial burden. This limits the educational opportunities available to children and hampers their ability to learn and succeed academically. However, the lack of access to school supplies further widens the gap between privileged and underprivileged children.

Itron India Private Limited joined hands with Mahesh Foundation in addressing the lack of access to essential school supplies among underprivileged children by distributing 500 school kits. These school kits will contain the necessary materials needed for a child's educational journey, including notebooks, stationery etc. Alongside the distribution of school kits, awareness campaigns will be conducted to emphasize the importance of education and the role that school supplies play in enhancing learning outcomes.

Solar Power Plant Installation

Our Challenge

The reliance on conventional energy sources within the School & Skill Center Building has become a significant challenge. If we use the state electricity, costs continue to rise, and the financial burden on the institution grows. This situation not only affects the economic sustainability of Mahesh Foundation. Frequent power outages disrupt the learning environment. These interruptions hinder technological advancements in teaching methods and limit access to crucial resources, putting students at a disadvantage.

Itron India Private Limited supported Mahesh Foundation in the establishment of a Solar Power Plant. The installation of a solar grid system that harnesses solar energy to power the School & Skill Center Building. This system will include solar panels, inverters, batteries, and a smart grid to efficiently manage and distribute the generated power. This serves as an educational tool for students, staff, and visitors, raising awareness about renewable energy and encouraging a culture of sustainability.
