Our Challenge
All our children in the school are first generation learners. The challenges faced by first generation learners is very different from other privileged children. These children require a lot more visual stimuli in the classroom as they get no form of encouragement or resources back at home. The onus is on the school to provide a rich visually stimulating learning environment. This can be done through access to computers, smart boards, teaching and learning material that encourages hands on learning.
The Solution
Dassault Systems, one of the noted companies in the India and world has approved our proposal to contribute to procure the accessories such computers, smart boards, teaching and learning material as well as Tabs and other digital sources. In collaboration with Dassault Systemes, Mahesh Foundation has created a livelihood for slum dweller women and also equipped the school Utkarsha with the latest digital technologies and helped the children of slum dwellers to learn through digital devices. Both the organizations visited flood-hit North Karnataka villages and distributed school kits to thousands of children.
Growth
The Children were exposed to technology where they could access and grow more knowledge.
Exposoure
With new mode of learning the children were able to expose themselves to learn new skills.
Embracing Technology
The Children were now provided access to technology, to cope with the modern era.
Communication
The students were taught Email drafting, Social media surfing like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
