About Feeding India a Zomato Giveback
Feeding India a Zomato Giveback is a not for profit organization, designing interventions to reduce hunger and malnutrition among underserved communities in India. All efforts are concerted towards providing better food to more people. Through our targeted interventions for child and maternal malnutrition, we are working towards bringing large-scale systemic transformation in the nutrition landscape of India.
Our Challenges
Malnutrition arises from the vicious cycle that starts with poverty. Low-income families have less access to resources to attain healthy meals, leading to insufficient nutrients in their diets, which subsequently leads to malnutrition. Good nutrition has the power to empower the present and future generations. Undernourished children are at risk of underperforming in their studies. Mahesh Foundation works with such children who suffer from hunger and malnutrition. These are the ultimate reasons for their education dropout.
Our Solution
Feeding India a Zomato Giveback has been associated with Mahesh Foundation supporting children studying in Mahesh Foundation’s Utarsha Learning Center. These children belong to marginalized communities of society and were out of reach of education. Mahesh Foundation identifies such children and provides free education to them. Feeding India a Zomato Giveback has joined hands with Mahesh Foundation in supporting the meals of the children which is ensuring the continuation of these children’s education.
