School Desks for underprivileged children
Our Challenge
Mahesh Foundation commenced the school in the year 2018. The school had classrooms up to the 5th standard. As the number of children increased, we extended the classes up to 8th Std. and enrolled 640 underprivileged children to ensure free and quality education. We have sufficient space for the classes and along with education we have ensured all the facilities including 3 times meal, transportation, computer labs, smart devices such as tabs. But there was a shortage of desks to accommodate these children in each classroom as well as in the extended classes.
Under the CSR initiative, Stonex India supported Mahesh Foundation to procure school desks. The school desks enable us to ensure sitting arrangements for 100 underprivileged children. This helps us to provide personal space and a great learning environment for these children. School desks contributed to children's comfort and enhance their learning in the coming days.
