CSR Due Diligence
We believe that being transparent is the best way to build trust

Why do donors choose Mahesh Foundation?
Transparency is one of Mahesh Foundation’s core values. A donation is a perfect way to carry a charitable cause forward. It doesn’t even have to be huge-you can easily donate the sum you’d put aside for a cup of coffee at Starbucks, or a film, or the latest fashion accessory. A little contribution can also make a bigger difference in the life of a needy child. Is every donation the same? Does every rupee donated have the same net result? While getting into what makes an NGO trustworthy, let’s also see how Mahesh Foundation is able to win the trust of the donors.
Is it the right institution?
We are registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act and are eligible for legal status. In addition, Mahesh Foundation is eligible for the tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. We are also registered under the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) to receive donations from foreign sources implying the great financial stability of the organization. We keep updating our financial statements, on our website.
Is accountable and transparent?
We are open to all forms of public scrutiny. Mahesh Foundation has no qualms speaking in detail about the management and one can have their staff on board to audit for complete analysis. In fact, our Chartered Accountant CA Umesh Bolmal has been continuously associating with us for years. He does 3-4 level checks to ensure greater transparency of accounts.
Has its heart in the right place?
Our initiatives have directly impacted the lives of children. We provide shelter to 45 children, along with their medications, nutrition and education, in our care home. We are efficient and spend a majority of the donation inflows on various initiatives and programs that benefit thousands of underprivileged children every year. To date, we were able to spend 90% of the donations on programs expenses.
